Join us for our 7th annual Día de los Muertos Celebration on Saturday, October 16th beginning at 1:00 pm.
Sugar Skull Decorating
Bring the whole family to decorate sugar skulls! This is a free event and all ages are welcome to participate! Each person will receive one free sugar skull to decorate. La Parada also has all the supplies you need to make your own sugar skulls at home and teachers will receive special discounts on sugar skull making supplies and free packets for class projects! The first 200 people will receive a free small sugar skull to decorate! Additional small sugar skulls can be purchased for $1, medium for $5, and large for $10.
T-Shirt Screen Printing
Get your limited edition “muerto” t-shirt with designs created by acclaimed artist, Catalina Delgado-Trunk. Saba and his crew from the Trillion Space will be on site with their mobile screen printing equipment to create your t-shirts. $5 if you have your own t-shirt & $10 if you’d like to purchase a t-shirt.
Looking for exciting "Dia de los Muertos" merchandise?
La Parada has really cool day of the dead merchanise and ALL the supplies you need to make your own sugar skulls at home or at school. Also, artist, Cheryl Thorpe will be selling her amazing flying muertos and Felicia Montoya will have a hip assortment of muerto buttons and magnets!
Teacher Packets & Discounts
During regular business hours: Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Teachers will receive special discounts on sugar skull making supplies and free teacher packets for in-class projects!
Community Altar
During regular business hours: Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EVERYONE is invited to participate in a community altar - bring your personal offering to a loved one (relative, friend or pet!) and place it on the altar at La Parada. Runs through November 4.
