* FREE WORKSHOPS EVERY SATURDAY IN OCTOBER *
ALL AGES WELCOME!


- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14 -

Community Altar Installation - 1pm
Come learn and discuss the traditions and cultural context of Dia de los Muertos, a beautiful Mexican tradition to celebrate and honor those who have passed. Free "Altar Packets" to the first 10 participants. Remember to bring photos, food or items loved by your friends and family who have passed away for the community altar. The community altar will be set up in October prior to Dia de los Muertos and will remain up through November 2nd.

Faux Stained Glass Votives - 2pm
Bring a clean, empty glass jar and leave with a colorful "stained glass" votive! Fun for all ages!

Tissue Paper Flower Crowns - 2pm
Make colorful flowers into a crown to wear or a wreath for your door or altar.

- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21 -

Calavera Mask - 1pm
Make an easy, simple or elaborate and beautiful paper Calavera mask.

Tissue Paper Flowers - 1pm
Learn to make tissue paper flowers to decorate your home, your altar, your costume or your Dia de los Muertos float.

- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 -

Marigold Garlands - 1pm
Pick and string fresh marigolds for your very own marigold garland.

Sugar Skull Decorating - 2pm
Each person will receive one free sugar skull to decorate. La Parada also has all the supplies you need to make your own sugar skulls at home and teachers will receive special discounts on sugar skull making supplies. Free packets for class projects! All ages are welcome to participate!

Looking for exciting "Dia de los Muertos" merchandise?
La Parada has really cool day of the dead merchandise..papel picado, banners, balloons, Catrinas, socks, t-shirts and more! We have ALL the supplies you need to make your own sugar skulls at home or at school including sugar molds, meringue powder, foils & icing colors.  Also, local artist Felicia Montoya will have a hip assortment of muerto buttons and magnets!

Teacher Packets & Discounts
During regular business hours, Wednesday – Sunday, teachers will receive special discounts on sugar skull making supplies and free teacher packets for in-class projects!
